Journalist and writer

She studied languages and in 2002/3 lived in Toronto, where she worked for the daily newspaper Corriere Canadese. She has been writing about travel and culture for 42 years and has published around one hundred reports on Sardinia, mainly for the magazine Dove, where she served as deputy editor-in-chief until 2009.

She worked for various Rizzoli publications for 25 years, starting as a reporter at Corriere della Sera, and later moved to the island of San Pietro, which she has frequented since she was one year old.

She is editor of the online pubblication Carloforte Magazine, she was founder and president of the association Libera Università di Carloforte for ten years. She is author of the two guides of the Parco Geominerario Storico e Ambientale della Sardegna, Miniere al sole (2008 and 2010 editions), published by AM&D in Cagliari.

For Libera Università di Carloforte she edited and partly wrote the short story collections ViolaCarloforte luogo dell’anima, and Siamo stati naviganti, published by Youcanprint.

She is the author of the book From Darkness to Light, Marine Byssus and Chiara Vigo (Cartabianca, translated into English, French, and German, now in its third edition) and of the illustrated volume Chiara Vigo, the Last Master of Marine Byssus, published by Carlo Delfino.

She has edited and/or contributed to the Dove travel guides attached to Corriere della Sera (TuscanyLombardy and Sardinia). She conceived and produced the Dove dossiers on DolomitesTrentinoPiedmontSicilyCampania, as well as special features on South TyrolGarganoSulcis Iglesiente and Medio Campidano.
